You call this a recipe? (LOL for the Day)

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water

So, the above ^ is a recipe from AllRecipes.com. Or, it’s really just the ingredients. It is a CARAMEL recipe. Last time I checked, water was not one of the prime ingredients in major caramel retailers’ products.

Yeah… Wow. I sure look obsessive. Eeek! Please forgive my harshness. I’m a little intense…

): (Your LOL for the Day)

How would you feel if people flaunted off stuff you can’t have? Hmm. Well, it happens all the time, I’m sure. But any who, I was at the fair just a day or two ago, and I played games to try and win a stuffed toy.

Some great photography, people.

Some great photography, people.

So anyway, I came to yearn for one of the giant stuffed bananas. But, I am horrible at the games (I guess I’m not too coordinated), and before I knew it, all my tickets were gone. And so I saw bananas everywhere. Toddlers, grown men, people my age. How unfair.

Example #1 of the other winners. (Not me.) (Or anyone I know.)

See! Even monkeys are better at tossing rings onto soda bottles than I am!

Teen Vogue!

Another superbly ahead of time issue of Teen Vogue came in the mail today! It’s as if those guys over there at TV are in some sort of space-time paradox and they can release an October issue on the, what, fourth day of September? (I saw Halloween candy out today too!)

Taylor Lautner is on the cover, which I don’t appreciate greatly. I think it’s a waste of an issue when a male is on a woman’s magazine. The cover girls should be iconic and role model-esque. Not men. But that’s just what I think….

Have you heard of the Venetian Princess? (LOL for the Day)

She is the most popular female on YouTube from my last look. She does parodies on Lady GaGa, Miley, Britney Spears, even the Octomom. Check her out, she’s hilarious.

My favorite of hers is… the “Octo Mom Song.” She does good look-changing too. But alone, she is like some very made-up version of Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie.

My drawings!

"Charlotte" from Poseur!

"Charlotte" from Poseur!

“Forever to search for the flame” is the quote at the top. It is from Bat for Lashes’ song “Daniel.” I sketched this one, along with the following, myself!

"Melissa" from Poseur

"Melissa" from Poseur

WordPress sure crunched these down small. They look very nice fully-sized. This is “Melissa” and the quote on hers says “loyalty provided by Nikkeesha Kool.” If you’ve read Petty In Pink, yeah, you know what I’m talkin’ about, girl. πŸ™‚

*Berry* Dark

Pun intended. πŸ™‚

I wish I could wear dark nail polish. But the thing is, I’m so pale, and look like Adam Lambert every time I go for the Revlon “Midnight Affair.” It’s a sparkly dark blue. Adam Lambert. This makes me sad, because he creeps me out a little.

So I was searching through my horror of a closet when I stumbled upon what I believe to be September 2008’s CosmoGirl!issue with Lauren Conrad (“The Hills”) on the cover.Β  I look through it, reminisce on last year’s trends, blah, blah, blah. Then! I got to the Beauty section. The first page is all about berry-colored dark nails. Which I now love. Or atleast just the red and dark fuschia colors. (:

The polish used here is CND brand in “Baroque” (the red polish on the left) and “Velvet.” Remember that this is exactly a year old, and — I checked on it — these colors are no longer sold. Boo. But they have a nice collection now, anyway.

More fun indie style!

Try taking a hint from Karen O (or maybe just tone down the head dress a bit):

No head dress (headress/headdress) in sight!

No head dress (headress/headdress) in sight!

Oh. There it is.

Oh. There it is.

Natasha Khan!

Radiating some of the weirdest music, Bat for Lashes is really fun. And, I discover a little too late, that their frontlady Natasha Khan has the coolest style I’ve seen in a long while. It’s blitz (pun!) : indie + eclectic + bohemian + hipster + Native American + who knows what + a little hint of lady-like (tulle headwear) + Lady GaGa (she ditched the pants).
Theres that tulle!

There's that tulle!

Those grampa undies are AWESOME.

But honestly, I want those shoes. ^ This is at Lollapalooza.

The British are coming! (x2)

Peaches Geldof!

Peaches Geldof!

Everyone loves this girl. She’s the store-stealer, British tabloid-megakid, NYLON prodigy. How could you not, really? She just gets what she wants. Oh, I see the contradiction in that….

But I do like Peaches. Her style, rather. Much like I like the above poster. ‘It Brits.’ Daisy Lowe, Peaches, Georgia Jagger (MY FAVORITE!!), Lily Allen, er, that’s all I can think of…. EXCEPT ALEXA CHUNG!!! Senorita Awesome TV Show is cooler than Lily Allen + Peaches combined! (But not as cool as Georgia, for the record.) I love It’s On with Alexa Chung. So funny. So digital.

How Many of Me? 1,536 to be exact.

There are 1,536 Talis out there, living, breathing, eating brownies that could be mine. And holding teddy bears. Cute ones with really soft fur. Like mine. His name is Emmett. I love him much, much, much!

How Many of Me?

It’s a totally free, no-strings-attached web site that tells you how many of you there are. You can type in your first name, last name, or both. AT THE SAME TIME. Wow. Look at how technology has evolved.

How primitive.

How primitive.

Try it. It is very fun. And addicting, for like three minutes. And fourteen point six nine eight four seconds, just to be precise.

BTW: There are 102 people named Harry Potter. There are 87 Edward Cullens. There isΒ 1 me. πŸ™‚
